'The teenage years are the best years of one's life.' Would you agree with this view?
The teenage years are the years which most people believe to be full of fun and excitement. They usually perceive teenagers as full of youth and vigour. In a way, I think this is quite true for most teens. I generally agree that the teenage years are the best times of one's life.
Most typical teenagers would enjoy the company of friends. It is this group of people that they spend much time with and who add to making their teenage years fun ones. Teenagers have many opportunities to explore and try out new things so I guess it is mostly true that this time in their life is exciting and interesting.
On the other hand, teenagers also face challenges like stress. Hence, being a teenager is not as easy as it seems to be. As teenagers are exposed to more things around them, hence they may start questioning about these things. According to the Straits Times Interactive, many teens pass through an angsty, rebellious phase and part of the reason for adolescent misery is hormonal. They question their existence on earth and want to know why the world does not value them.
There is a growing trend of 'emo' teens nowadays. 'Dark T-shirts, listening to gloomy music, writing doom-laden poetry', 'heavily lined eyes and long fringed hair', it probably reminds you of the 'emo' ones. Parents would probably gasp with shock if they knew their kid was 'emo'. But if being 'emo' is a way to express themselves, then why not, since they find a need to do so. Of course, not to the extreme that they start slashing their wrists or injuring themselves in other ways.
Perhaps different teens have different ways of expressing themselves. As it is often said that the clock cannot be turned back, I feel that more importantly one should make the most out of their teenage life and enjoy it.
done.

Hey, thats a very good approach to the question. Notice you used the words wisely like " typically" and "most" , and with the " on the other hand" line, you gave a nice nuance approach. Great!
