''YouTube has no ethics, it's been created for the sole purpose of entertainment and money.'' Do you agree?
YouTube is widely used and enjoyed by most people all over the world, in particular young people. It is a popular video sharing website which allows its users to view or upload video clips for free and at the same time it is easily accessible from the internet.
I agree that Youtube has been created for the purpose of entertainment and money. It provides quick and easy access to videos, television programmes or even movies for anyone just by visiting the Youtube website. I believe that most people would agree that it is an entertainment website as they are able to watch all these for free. Although users do not pay for using Youtube, many advertisers place their advertisements on the site and for doing so they pay revenue to Youtube.
Youtube allows people to 'dump' offensive things onto it. I agree to a certain extent that Youtube is unethical. A recent newspaper report highlighted the incident about the revered Thai king being mocked at in a video clip which was posted on the site. It was quite appalling. Though the Thais demanded that the videos be removed, Youtube claimed that they could not do so. This led people like the Thais to think that Youtube had no ethics. Then again, other people believe in freedom of speech, so they find nothing wrong in such videos. Eventually after the Thai government blocked access to the website, Youtube compromised to help Thailand block those offensive videos. There have also been cases where youngsters record violent scenes and post them on the web. Youtube also does not respect copyright laws hence they are thought to be unethical. The website was banned from several countries because of its infringements on copyright laws.
There is almost certain to be advantages and disadvantages of such sites on the internet. Thus, I think it is up to the individual whether to view Youtube as a blessing to humans, or a nasty creation which should be banned totally.
done.

A unique approach. You attacked the question by separating it into 2 parts. One, the ethics, and the other the entertainment purpose. However, you may be required to pick a stand on the ethic part as the question ask you about your agreement and not the individuals about youtube.
